Sunday, July 27:
Did the short drive to
Willare Bridge Roadhouse 30kms from Derby as the caravan park is around $48 and
hard to get into. We paid $32 for power and had a lovely grassed oval behind
the roadhouse. Purchased some Yeeda Station Scotch fillet from their fridge.
Drove into Derby which
has grown a lot since we last visited. We had lunch in the café by the warf and
watched the tide rush in. the fishermen from Gippsland and Bruthern hadn’t
caught any fish. Before leaving we did a shop at their new Woolworths store.
A group of bikers
pulled into and camped in the unpowered area but didn’t make any noise or cause
trouble.
Did two loads of
washing ready to hand out tomorrow.
Derby's famous Boab prison tree. |
